I strongly disagree with just about everything written here.

There is just too much here that is just dead wrong to go point by point.

Do the opposite of what is written and you should do fine.

Great input Frank. I disagree with your statements, but sure glad you took the time to share your views.

Chamber events are great for putting faces to names, but the words we speak at the chamber is NOT searchable on the internet. Unless your chamber is taking dictation and posting every word on the net, I'm pretty sure Bear's points are correct.

Blogging takes less time, the article is indexed forever, and you are able to make better connections with potential customers…

I am glad you have had good success with your chamber. In which chambers are you a member?

I agree that Chambers Of Commerce are a waste of time – their time has been and gone

Here in the United Kingdom every town and city had an “exchange” – where merchants had rooms or stood about – in those days that was the best way to conduct business

The exchange buildings are now mostly used for arts and crafts fairs, flea markets (like garage sales, but with lots of sellers)
