I realized that I have not seen any news coverage of anyone protesting the additional troops being sent to Afghanistan. Are there protests, which simply are not being covered or have the war protesters decided to go on vacation during the Obama Presidency?
Don’t get me wrong, I am glad that traffic is not being tied up because of protesters in the streets, or should we be protesting?
- Should we be telling our government that the uncontrolled spending could seriously lead to our demise?
- Is it true that China owns so much of our debt, that it can now tell us what we will and will not do?
- Are we shrinking from a world power to a second rate country like England?
Maybe there are other things we should be protesting, like following the US Constitution and not allowing the government to own private companies.
These are just a few thoughts. What do you think?

Maybe they are cashing in on the 425,000 individuals who die each year through tobacco use. Or maybe they are trying to help run aways, which occure on a two per minute basis. Of those kids who run away from home, slightly less than half return home, and of those who don’t about half will be dead in 2 years. Maybe they are learning the really important things are not so obvious.

There are so many domestic problems that need to be addressed and while throwing money at them is probably not the best solution, the billions being spent on the war will go a long way!
If it was a preemptive strike, fine, but this war has been dragging on for far too long and costing way too much.
