The PortlandBusinessCommunity.com blog site is for the exchange of business ideas and online social networking. We have only a few policies. If you have any questions on a post you are considering publishing, save it as a draft instead and ask Ken “Bear” Cole or myself to review it first.
1. No direct selling
A direct offer for business is offensive to most internet browsers. All participants on this site receive an increased search engine visibility so long as the articles stay news worthy or human interest focused. Sales pitches, are best left for your website. Use this site to give readers an insight to the way you think, act or feel. If the visitor likes what you have to say, then tell about the features and benefits or solutions your product or service offer over on your main company website.
2. No bad mouthing other businesses
No matter where in the world the business is located, do speak ill of them. You can state your views and opinions without cross over the line of being negative. The administrators of this site do not assume any responsibility for the views or ideas expressed by the members of the site. We do reserve the right to remove any message that presents any other business (by name) in a negative light.
The best approach, when wanting to compare and contrast your business practices over another is to stay positive and reflect only on your business. Let the visitor make their own decision.
3. No spam allowed
IP addresses of spammers will be block permanently from the site. While we wish to protect our members as much as possible from spam abuse, we can not be responsible for offline actions taken by members of this site. If you are being abused by another member of this site, please eMail me directly and I will do what I can to help resolve the issue.
